We are located at 18 Albert Road, Southport, Merseyside, PR9 0LE

Each of our ten en-suite bedrooms are comfortably furnished and decorated in keeping with the Victorian style. All bedrooms have central heating, with thermostatically controlled radiators, colour television, radio alarm, hair dryer, complementary toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities. Welcome water & confectionary for every guest and access to Mini Bars containing free fresh milk and other items to purchase.

For those guests on business all rooms are WI-FI enabled, and have a writing desk.

Other facilities available on request include baby cots & high chairs, ironing facilities and shoe cleaning materials.

For your added comfort and in the interest of Fire Safety there is a no smoking policy throughout the guest house. We have a full fire detection system installed conforming to BS. 5839.

Breakfast at Our Guesthouse

Enjoy a delightful breakfast in our spacious Dining Room, served from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM (earlier times available by prior arrangement). We take pride in our excellent home cooking, using quality fresh local produce wherever possible.

Monday to Friday

Start your day with a continental breakfast, featuring:

• A selection of cereals, yogurts, juices, and fresh fruit

• Home-baked items

• Tea, coffee, and toast served to your table

A small hot selection is available by pre-ordering the night before, including:

• Beans on toast

• Sausage and bacon sandwiches

• Porridge

Saturday & Sunday

Along with our continental breakfast, we also offer:

• A Full English breakfast

• A vegetarian option (we need at least 12 hours notice if meat substitutes are required)

• Tea, coffee, and toast served to your table

Please ask about The Bowden Lodge Preference card which gives our quests generous discounts on food and drink in five independent local restaurants. Types of cuisine include: British, Chinese, Italian and French.

The Bowden Lodge has its own private off road car park which can accommodate up to 10 cars. We are open all year round for the convenience of all our guests. Conference delegates, golfing parties and group bookings are welcome. We also welcome Cyclists, Walkers and Birdwatchers.
